It still suffers from sub-standard combat, and its stunning visuals have aged a bit in the time since it was first released nearly a decade ago, but make no mistake, this is a must-have game for fans of the genre, as well as those looking for an amazing Co-Op experience. Trine 2 is one of the highlights of its series, and of Puzzle-Platformer games in general, with its wonderful focus on using each of its three characters' unique abilities to solve puzzles becoming even better in Co-Op play. There's some good gameplay to be had here, but you have to struggle to enjoy it. It features solid gameplay focused on using its three central characters' abilities to get past obstacles, but the game is unfortunately bogged down by awkward controls and frequent, terrible combat. Trine is a classic Puzzle-Platformer that has aged somewhat since its release over a decade ago. Trine Ultimate Collection is a Compilation that includes all four games in the Trine series. If you're looking for a fun adventure that's easy to play and beautiful to look at, Trine 2 will be perfect.Players: 1-4 Co-Op (Local, Local Wireless, Online) This plays more like a fantasy Little Big Planet, which is no bad thing! Trine 2 is rarely a very challenging game, and movement is nowhere near as tight as classic platformers like Mario. Multiplayer is excellently integrated, making it a big improvement, while making perfect use of the three Trine characters. Trine 2 adds online multiplayer, which allows you to jump into games of up to three people, each playing one character, cooperating through the game. Medieval fantasy worlds can too often lack any individuality, but the beautiful levels of Trine 2 manage to create their own fairy tale feel. The story isn't fantastic, but it doesn't matter when the game is as good looking and fun to play as Trin 2 is. In terms of gameplay and presentation, Trine 2 feels like an improvement over it's pretty predecessor, while not being any kind of revolution.
